ABP News: Controversy during voting in Hyderabad, case filed against BJP candidate Madhavi Latha. In fact, a video of Madhavi Latha, BJP candidate from Hyderabad, surfaced in which she was seen removing the burqa of women voters to check their voter IDs and faces. This has sparked controversy and now a case has been filed against her at Malkpet police station.

An FIR has been filed against BJP candidate Madhavi Latha, who is contesting the elections from the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat in Telangana. This case has been registered at Malkpet police station under IPC sections 171C, 186, 505(1)(c), and section 132 of the Representation of the People Act. A video of Madhavi Latha is rapidly going viral on social media, in which she can be seen inspecting the identity cards of Muslim women during her visit to a polling station. In the video, BJP candidate Madhavi Latha can be heard asking Muslim women to remove their burqas for identity verification and inspecting their identity cards. She is also seen asking them to reveal their identities.
