President of the Shri Badarinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Ajendra Ajay, responded to Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand's allegation of a scam involving 228 kg of gold from the Kedarnath Temple. Ajay stated that if Swami Avimukteshwaranand has any evidence of such an incident, he should present it to a competent authority. He further remarked that if the allegations are merely aimed at promoting the Congress party's agenda, it would be unfortunate.

"I respect Swami Avimukteshwaranand, but he frequently holds press conferences throughout the day, stirring controversy and seeking publicity. His statement regarding missing gold at Kedarnath Dham is regrettable. I urge him and challenge him to bring forth facts and evidence. He should approach the appropriate authorities, present his evidence, and request an investigation."
