'Big political game behind Shaheen Bagh protest', says Modi in Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed an election rally in Delhi's Karkardooma, from where he hit out at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress of playing political game in the name of Shaheen Bagh protest and other CAA-NRC protests.
PM Modi said, "Be it Seelampur, Jamia or Shaheen Bagh, protests held over the past several days regarding the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Is this just a coincidence? No. This is an experiment. There is a political design behind this which has plans to destroy harmony in country."
Delhi will go to polls on February 8 when the BJP hopes to capture power in the capital after two decades. The results will be out on February 11.
