The ongoing protest against reservations in Bangladesh shows no signs of calming. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned as the situation worsened and left the country on Monday. At least 300 people have been killed in violent clashes over the past few days.

Amidst the unrest, India has advised its citizens to avoid travel to Bangladesh until further notice. The Ministry of External Affairs has also warned its citizens in Bangladesh to remain extremely vigilant and limit their movement.

Following a coup, the Bangladeshi army has taken control of the country. Army Chief General Waqaruz-Zaman announced that an interim government would be formed within 48 hours, promising to restore peace in Bangladesh.
