Armenia Vs Azerbaijan: Elchin Amirbayev appeals to India to play active role in peacekeeping efforts

Senior Azerbaijan diplomat Elchin Amirbayev has appealed to India to play a more active role in peacekeeping efforts in the ongoing war with Armenia. In a special conversation with ABP News, he said that the Indian ambassador and military Attache visited those areas where Armenian shelling resulted in the loss of life and property. Amirbaev said, "The ongoing conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh is not a religious confrontation but an ongoing fight for regional sovereignty and its legitimate land in which Azerbaijan has taken steps in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council."
