Anti-Sikh riots 1984: Centre to act against convicts as per Justice Dhingra report
Centre told Supreme Court that it had accepted the Justice Dhingra report and on its basis, action will be taken against the convicted police officials. Special Investigation Team, headed by Justice Dhingra, was made by Supreme Court itself in order to probe the 186 cases which were shut down. As per the submitted report, these cases were not dealt properly and further appeals were not submitted as well.
