In Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, three students died after water flooded a coaching center's basement. Following the incident, swift actions were taken: those responsible were arrested, and the Ministry of Home Affairs formed a committee to investigate the tragedy. This committee will examine the causes, determine responsibility, suggest measures, and recommend policy changes within 30 days. Meanwhile, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) sealed six more basements in Old Rajinder Nagar and one in Mukherjee Nagar, bringing the total to 20 sealed centers, including prominent ones like Drishti IAS. LG V.K. Saxena announced ₹10 lakh compensation for each of the deceased students' families. In the Rajya Sabha, MP Manoj Jha criticized the recurring incidents and expressed concern over political blame games.
