Himanchal Pradesh News : PM Modi addressing through video conferencing due to bad weather
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed a youth rally in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday and spoke of electing a stable government in order to perform well. He cited how coalition governments at the Centre have failed to deliver leading to the world casting a doubt on India's ability.
"For decades, there were coalition govt and an atmosphere of uncertainty if they can perform or not. Due to that, people in the world were skeptical about the country. In 2014, a stable govt was elected which brought stability to policy-making & governance,"
said PM Modi while addressing the rally, reported ANI.
The Prime Minister also spoke of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, where the Bharatiya Janata Party was elected again in the assembly elections, ending the trend of governments changing every five years.
"Even in UP & Uttarakhand, govts used to change every five years but people elected the BJP govt again in recent Assembly elections in both the states. Now, people are understanding the importance of stable govt," the PM said at the rally.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the achievements of his government in the state.
"We have allocated Rs 14,000 crores for national highways in Himachal Pradesh. We also brought facility of rope-way along with developing villages near the border areas. We also approved the proposal to add Hatti community in the list of STs in the state, the PM, as reported by ANI.
