DCGI issues license to 5 more companies to manufacture Black Fungus drug

After the increasing mucormycosis cases in India, the Ministry of Health has started supplying the medicine used in its treatment. Every effort is being made to increase the supply and availability of Amphotericin-B, a drug used in the treatment of mucormycosis or black fungus. To increase its production, five additional producers in the country have been licensed to produce it.
