Alapan Bandyopadhyay to report to Centre over 'why he overlooked the orders'
Former Chief Secretary of West Bengal, Alapan Bandyopadhyay has to revert back to the show-cause notice today, issued to him under the Disaster Management Act for failing to comply with the centre's direction to attend the meeting on Cyclone Yaas held in Bengal with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The centre has now been seeking a written explanation from the ex-bureaucrat within three days, as to why action should not be taken against him for overlooking the orders.
