Mumbai Bandh: Marathas indulge in 'rail roko' at Thane railway station

Marathas stopped local at Thane railway station. The train was headed to Kalyan but had to be stopped at Thane station as people indulged in 'rail roko'

About the demands
The Maratha stand-off over their demand for quota reservation took a violent turn on Tuesday evening as several aggressive demonstrations took place t various areas; prompting the authorities to call for a shut down in Maharashtra and the nearby areas.

The shutdown will be seen in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan, Satara, Palghar and Nashik.

The effect of Bandh shall not be seen on Mumbai local train services, schools and colleges.
