Meghdoot Aaya: Karnataka's Hubli desperately waits for monsoon as water crisis looms

As Karnataka has been facing an unbroken spell of drought for over a year, water scarcity has become a harsh reality for this southern state.
Karnataka is reeling under drought like situation for fourth consecutive year. With no pre-monsoon showers, the water woes have only worsened in Hubli, Karnataka. 
Karnataka and Goa, the riparian states of Mahadayi (known as Mandovi in Goa), have been locked in a bitter battle over the sharing of water of the river, which originates at Belagavi in Karnataka.
