Jewellery thief takes elderly man hostage, gets shot by police in Brazil| Top 50

An armed robber was shot dead by cops after allegedly stealing from a jewellery store and taking an elderly woman hostage in Brazil.
The thief, armed with a revolver, was surrounded by police when he tried to rob a jewellery shop in Valencia, south-east Brazil, yesterday morning.
And footage has emerged of the stand-off between them which ended very dramatically.
In the clip, the thief is surrounded by officers who train their guns on him.
