Women can develop breast cancer at any age, and there are still many misconceptions in society about the disease that prevent early detection, delayed treatment, and incorrect diagnosis also occurs. In India, breast cancer is the most frequent cancer among women.

In India, an estimated 1,62,468 women received a new breast cancer diagnosis in 2018. India has the second-highest number of breast cancer deaths worldwide in 2018 with 87,090 women losing their lives to the disease.
It is impossible to avoid breast cancer. Still, there is undoubtedly room to lower the number of deaths from breast cancer. And the only way that this is possible is by "being aware" of the signs of breast cancer and promptly reporting them to the doctor.
