Get Ready To Pay Double Or Triple The Fine If You Violate Traffic Rules
The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019, will come into force from today. The new Act has brought about a considerable increase in the penalties prescribed in the old Act, informed Additional Director General of Police (ADG) RK Vij here on Saturday.
Dealing about the provisions of the Act, he said that for over speeding light vehicles will be fined between Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 while medium weight vehicles will have to cough out Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000.
