Congress achieves majority in Chhattisgarh | Assembly Election Results
The Congress party has won 48 seats and is leading to form a majority in the state. The grand old party is currently leading 48 against BJP's 32 while the others has gained a lead in seven seats. In a major setback for BJP, Congress is leading in Rajnandgaon assembly constituency which is Raman Singh's constituency. According to early trends, Congress has taken clear lead in 42 seats, BJP is ahead in 30 assembly constituencies.
