Share Market Today: Reliance Industries' Board Meeting Today, Major Decision on Bonus Shares Expected

The Indian stock market experienced a robust start today. At the opening, the NSE Nifty showed an upswing in 1,551 stocks, while 245 stocks saw declines, reflecting a favorable advance-decline ratio. The midcap index also opened at a record high, and the BSE Sensex approached its all-time high. Specifically, the BSE Sensex opened at 82,469.79, up by 117.15 points or 0.14%, while the NSE Nifty began at 25,250.50, gaining 51.80 points or 0.21%. The BSE Sensex reached a day’s high of 82,617.49, close to its all-time high of 82,725.28, and the Nifty hit 25,275.45, nearing its record high of 25,333.65. The Bank Nifty traded at 51,466.30, up by 66.05 points or 0.13%. Among the 30 Sensex stocks, 13 showed gains and 17 declined. Notable gainers included UltraTech Cement, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Titan, ITC, and JSW Steel, while HCL Tech, Nestle, Maruti, BHEL, TCS, and M&M were among the major decliners. The BSE market capitalization reached ₹466.81 trillion, with 3,235 stocks trading—2,305 saw gains, 816 remained unchanged, and 49 declined. This data reflects the market status as of 9:58 AM.
