Buying Property Becomes A Challenge As Prices Soar Significantly, Leaving Homebuyers Struggling To Keep Up | Paisa Live
Housing prices have surged by up to 32% in the country’s top seven cities. These cities include Delhi NCR, Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Pune, with Hyderabad witnessing the highest price increase. According to a report by the real estate consultancy firm Enrock, the average price of homes in these top seven cities rose by 23% on a year-on-year basis during the July-September quarter of the current fiscal year. This significant rise in property prices reflects growing demand and limited supply in these metropolitan areas, making homeownership increasingly challenging for prospective buyers. The upward trend in real estate prices is likely to continue as urbanization and population growth fuel the housing market in these cities.
