BJP workers, police officials injured post tussle in WB

It was a Bharatiya Janata Party event in Basirhat where police and BJP workers got into a tussle. Many workers and police officials were injured in it.
Police were trying to assuage the workers but the situation went out of control. Post lathicharge, stones were pelted too. 
On the other hand, leaders said that the programme was being held peacefully but police lathicharged out of the blue
