2 suspected terrorists open fire at officials in Jammu’s Batote
Today morning at about 7.30 am, 2 suspicious individuals tried to stop a civil vehicle at Batote. The driver did not stop the vehicle and informed Army QRT (Quick Response Team). Exchange of fire took place.
Police assisted by the Army cordoned off Dharmund village and adjoining areas in the Batote area and a search operation is under way, they said.
The officials said the operation was launched immediately after a blast and some gunshots were heard in the village along the Jammu-Doda road.
