10 police personnel martyred in a Naxal attack in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli
Ten security personnel have been killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast by Naxals on a police vehicle in Gadchiroli in Maharashtra on Wednesday afternoon, news agency ANI reported.
An exchange of fire has started between police and Naxals at the site of the blast in Gadchiroli, after the explosion.
As per initial reports, Maharashtra police van attacked was attacked when the state police personnel were on their way to a road construction site where the Naxals had burnt two dozen bulldozer vehicles that were deployed for construction works.
