No Kanwar Yatra This Year: UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Jharkhand Decide Amid COVID-19 Pandemic l ABP Uncut
Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Jharkhand have taken a won't allow the annual ''kanwar'' yatra this year due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The yatra was scheduled to begin from July 6. The annual pilgrimage of Shiva devotees is a major event for these states. In 2019, over 4 crore devotees visited Haridwar alone during the auspicious month of Saawan.
