Not Nisarga, but death of an elephant shook the nation | Bharat Ki Baat

On Wednesday morning, as cyclone Nisarga approached the coast of Maharashtra, the country hoped that Mumbai already reeling under Covid-19 will stay strong. By the end of the day, it was not a cyclone, but an act of cruelty in Kerala that shook the nation. A pregnant elephant was killed after she was fed with cracker stuffed pineapple. The outrage is palpable across all sections of society but the biggest question remains unanswered. What has happened to humanity?
