It is almost an year since Russia launched an offensive against Ukraine in February last year. The invasion by Moscow has caused destruction on both sides, and the situation has only deteriorated with each passing day. Amid the gloom, a video of an Ukrainian soldier meeting his pregnant wife has surfaced online, spreading some hope.
The video posted on Twitter by Anton Gerashchenko shows the pregnant woman heading to meet her husband, a Ukrainian soldier, in a car. As soon as she sees him, she runs into the arms of her husband and breaks into tears. The husband can be seen wearing a military uniform.
"This is what we're fighting for. They haven't seen each other for 30 weeks." The text on the video reads, "30 weeks in the war, finally our long-awaited meeting," the caption of the video read.
