Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates lent his hand in cooking millet khichdi (porridge) with Union Minister Smriti Irani at an event organised by the Ministry of Women and Child Development on Thursday.
The video, shared by Smriti Irani on the micro-blogging site Twitter, shows the billionaire philanthropist standing next to the minister who helps him prepare tadka for the khichdi. First, the minister pours oil into a cooking pan after which Bill Gates adds some ingredients to it. Soon the tadka is ready and mixed to the bowl of kichdi kept on the table next to the cooking stove. Towards the end, Mr Gates serves it in a bowl and tastes it and nods his head in satisfaction.
"Recognising the super food of India and its poshan component. When Bill Gates gave tadka to Shree Ann Khichdi!” read the caption of the post shared by the union minister.
