Caught On Cam: Digvijaya Singh's Speeding SUV Hits Biker In MP, Congress Leader Takes Injured To Hospital

The man suffered "minor" head injuries said the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister who also visited the hospital to meet him.

An SUV carrying senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh hit a bike-borne man in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh on Thursday. In the video that has gone viral on social media, the accident took place when the biker took a sudden U-turn on a narrow road and came in front of the former MP Chief Minister's car.

Due to the impact of the collision, the bike was thrown a few meters away and hit an electric pole. As soon as the accident happened the cavalcade came to a halt and Digvijaya Singh got out of the car and rushed to the spot. The injured, identified as Rambabu Bagri (20), a resident of Paroliya was immediately sent to a nearby hospital by Singh for treatment and later to a Bhopal-based hospital, reported news agency ANI.

The man suffered "minor" head injuries said the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister who also visited the hospital to meet him.

"He didn't suffer major injuries. He came suddenly in front of the car. I sent him to the hospital, I also went to the hospital & met him. He has been referred to Bhopal for treatment. I will arrange for his complete treatment," said Digvijaya Singh, according to ANI.

The accident took place in front of Vijay Convent School near Zirapur, when Singh was leaving Rajgarh after meeting the Congress District President in Kodakya village.

A case of negligence has been registered against Singh's driver by the police after a complaint was filed by the victim, reported ANI. The of the Congress leader and former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh has also been seized by the police.
