Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao Meets Industry Leaders In Mumbai To Invite Investments

Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday met several industry giants in Mumbai and discussed potential investment opportunities in the State.
On Thursday, KT Rama Rao met Tata Group chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran and discussed the opportunities for Telangana. Rama Rao discussed the state's industrial growth, the finest industrial strategies being carried out by the BRS administration and chances for Tata Group to continue expanding its operations in Telangana.
In the group's expansion plans, he urged Chandrasekaran to give Telangana top consideration. The Minister said that the Tata Group will flourish in Hyderabad as a center for the aerospace and defense industries. He also asked the group chairman to look into the prospect of bringing TCS operations to Warangal.
Later, Rama Rao taking to social media said, "Had a good meeting with Chairman of Tata Group Sri N. Chandrasekaran Ji. Thanked him for his group’s continued support and also discussed potential investment opportunities."

Rama Rao also met Sajjan Jindal, Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group. He asked Jindal to come forward to invest in Telangana in the fields like steel and cement. The minister reminded that when Telangana was formed, the Union government had promised to set up a steel plant in Bayyaram and SAIL had expressed readiness to implement it.
Rama Rao explained that there was a possibility of setting up a steel plant at Bayyaram, keeping in mind the iron ore reserves in Chhattisgarh, which is nearby. Rama Rao assured that the Telangana government will provide all possible assistance if a prestigious company like JSW comes forward to set up a steel plant at Bayyaram. He also invited the group to expand its operations into sports, education and other sectors.
