KCR explained that the government has decided to raise the maximum age limit to 10 years for direct recruitment, allowing more unemployed youth to compete in the proposed recruitment. Except for uniformed services such as police, the maximum age limit for all other posts will be 44 years for OC, 49 years for SC, ST, BC, 54 years for Physically Handicapped, and 47 years for ex-Servicemen.

The chief minister clarified that there would be no more contract jobs in Telangana. He said regular posts would be filled accordingly as the government jobs calendar would be released from time to time.

KCR suggested that all branches should send job openings to the job calendar. Vacant positions should be identified from time to time and forwarded to the appropriate recruiting agencies. It is an ongoing process that the respective recruitment agencies will issue notifications to fill the vacancies, said CM.
