'Ram Rajya' In Telangana Within Five Months, Rule Of 'Razakars' To End: Assam CM During Hindu Ekta Yatra

Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the rule of 'razakars' will end in Telangana after the BJP’s win in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma proclaimed that "Ram Rajya will come to Telangana in five months." His remarks were made during the 'Hindu Ekta Yatra' organized by Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay in Karimnagar on Sunday. Sarma expressed his belief that the rule of 'razakars' would come to an end in Telangana following the BJP's victory in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.

The term "razakars" refers to volunteers who opposed Hyderabad State's accession to India.

According to BJP leaders, the Hindu Ekta Yatra aimed to shed light on alleged injustices faced by Hindus due to the perceived collaboration between the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).

Sarma accused the Telangana government, led by K Chandrashekar Rao, of nine years of appeasement towards the ruling family and minorities. The Assam CM also criticized BRS for its alleged involvement in the Delhi liquor scam, suggesting that AAP and BRS had joined forces to misappropriate public funds.

During the yatra, Sarma claimed that his government in Assam was taking measures to curb "love jihad." He declared, "We are working towards the closure of madrassas in Assam. Since becoming CM, I have already shut down 600 madrassas, and this year I will close 300 more." He further challenged AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi to stop him.

Referring to the movie 'The Kerala Story,' Sarma cited instances in Assam where Hindu girls were allegedly enticed, drawing parallels to the film's narrative. Both Sarma and Bandi Sanjay urged people to watch the movie to comprehend the concept of 'Love Jihad.'

Bandi Sanjay had extended an invitation to the entire team of 'The Kerala Story' to attend the Hindu Ekta Yatra. However, director Sudipto Sen took to Twitter to express their inability to attend due to unforeseen health issues. Sen apologized to the people of Karimnagar and reiterated their commitment to making the film as a means to protect daughters, while requesting continued support from the public.
