The police said, Anil Kumar was a history-sheeter involved in multiple thefts. He had robbed in places including Subedari (Warangal), Dwaraka (Visakhapatnam) and Narsipatnam, as per the report on The Hindu.
Anil Kumar had been involved in burglaries in almost 30 houses since 2010.
As per the modus operandi, the duo had also been targetting posh places with isolated populations to ease their loot.
The duo initially committed a bike theft in the locality and then moved to the target location. When they found the right time, they allegedly barged into a house and stole the valuables.
Later, they also abandoned the stolen motorcycle at a distance and escaped from the spot.
After the robbery, they also handed over the sum to another person from Boduppal. The man identified as Karthik had later disposed of it.
The duo also left for Goa, Bengaluru or other cities after the heist with the motive to escape police arrest.
However, the police recently nabbed the accused with the help of a tipoff. They also seized the stolen valuables and handed them over to the SHO Malakpet.
Further investigations are on.
