WhatsApp Users Can Now Pin 3 Messages At Once: Here's How

WhatsApp will also let users choose the duration for which their messages will remain pinned.

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature allowing users to pin multiple messages within both individual and group chats. Initially rolled out in December 2023, the pinning feature enables users to prioritise important messages by displaying them prominently at the top of the chat window. Unlike the previous version which only allowed users to pin a single message per chat, the latest update permits users to pin up to three messages within a chat.

This enhancement was officially confirmed by WhatsApp through its various social media platforms.

WhatsApp's Pin Updates: What You Should Keep In Mind

Pinned messages appear as a banner at the top of the chat, with the option to tap directly on the banner to navigate to the pinned message. When multiple messages are pinned, the banner displays the number of pinned messages along with a preview of the latest one. Users can then access all pinned messages by clicking on the banner and selecting their desired message.

Furthermore, users are provided with the flexibility to choose the duration for which a message remains pinned, with options ranging from 24 hours to 30 days.

Here's How To Pin Messages On WhatsApp

Android users can long-press a message, select the three dots in the corner, and then choose the pin option along with the desired duration.

Similarly, iOS users can achieve this by tapping and holding a message, accessing more options, and selecting the pin option along with the duration.

Web and desktop app users can utilise the downward arrow button next to a message to pin it.
