Galaxy S21 FE With Snapdragon 888 Launching

Samsung on Monday confirmed that it will launch the new Galaxy S21 FE with a Snapdragon 888 chipset in India this month, amid rumours of the likely launch of the Galaxy S23 FE. The South Korean tech giant said it will be launching a new variant of the Galaxy S21 FE 5G smartphone in India in July. The Galaxy S21 FE with Samsung's proprietary Exynos chipset was launched back in 2020. The new Galaxy S21 FE 5G will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, which is a 5nm processor known for its performance prowess, and also powers flagship devices such as the OnePlus 9 Pro, and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, among others. The chipset is coupled with Adreno 660 GPU which promises to boost the gaming capabilities of Galaxy S21 FE 5G.

Spotify Testing Full-Length Music Videos

In a bid to give competition to the likes of Alphabet-owned YouTube and TikTok, Swedish music streaming giant Spotify is currently testing full-length music videos in the app. Spotify is already in talks with partners about the product, according to people familiar with the plan who asked not to be identified, says a report by news agency Bloomberg. Spotify recently announced that it has surpassed more than 100,000 podcasts with video.

Apple AirPods May Come With Body Temperature Tracking

Apple may be adding several useful health features to the AirPods and AirPods Pro, such as body temperature tracking and hearing aid, says Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Among the most innovative features of AirPods would be the integration of advanced hearing health functionalities, which would let AirPods determine a user's hearing abilities through a "specialised hearing test". This is quite similar to how the Apple Watch's ECG app helps with heart conditions. The tech giant has been attempting to look for opportunities to position AirPods as an alternative to conventional hearing aids and grab a big pie of the $10 billion-a-year hearing aid space.

Mastodon, BlueSky Get A Boost

Twitter's German alternative Mastodon as well as BlueSky have gotten a big push in the wake of the new Twitter "mess" that was a result of Twitter boss Elon Musk's announcement to restrict the number of tweets for users on the platform they can see in a day. Musk, earlier on Sunday, temporarily enforced limits on post readings to prevent "data scraping and system manipulation". Following the announcement of imposing new limits to the amount of posts users can see appears to be driving a surge in activity at Mastodon, a German rival that prides itself on its decentralised, user-driven structure, says a report by news agency Reuters.
