A scrap dealer recently created a social media buzz by gifting his son multiple iPhones, including the newly launched iPhone 16, to celebrate the boy's outstanding performance in his board exams. This event occurred shortly after Apple's much-anticipated release of the iPhone 16 series.
A video capturing the proud moment went viral, showing the father holding an iPhone and being congratulated by a crowd. According to a report from Lokmat Times, the man treated himself to an Rs 85,000 iPhone and purchased the latest iPhone 16, which he claims to be priced at Rs 1.8 lakh, for his son.

Is The Viral Video True?
It should be noted here that the base iPhone 16 is actually priced at Rs 79,900 for the base 128GB storage model.
The top-of-the-line iPhone 16 Pro Max model with 1TB of storage is priced at Rs 1.85 lakh.
The phone that the man shows in the video is an iPhone 16 model, and not an iPhone 16 Pro Max model.
It should also be noted that the video was originally posted on Instagram by a channel called @trolls_official. The genuineness of the video is understandably not verified.
So, needless to say, best to consider this video with a heavy pinch of salt.
