Samsung Ups Shipment Target For Galaxy S24 Series In H1: Report

This comes a week after famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's recent supply chain survey painted a cautious outlook for Apple iPhone shipments this year.

The launch of the flagship Galaxy S24 series from Samsung has witnessed exceptional sales performance, surpassing pre-order records in South Korea, India, and the Netherlands, the media has reported. Therefore, the South Korean tech giant has increased its shipment target for the Galaxy S24 series to 13 million units for the first half (H1) of the year, says a report by GSMArena.

The initial projection for the first half of 2024 was 12 million units, indicating a notable increase of 1 million units. The newly-released Galaxy S24 Ultra has emerged as the primary driver of pre-orders for Samsung in South Korea and India, with expectations to maintain its lead in sales in the coming months, the report added, citing a source.

This comes a week after famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's recent supply chain survey painted a cautious outlook for Apple iPhone shipments this year. The TFI Securities anlyst predicted a decline of 10 per cent-15 per cent in shipments for the iPhone 15 and the upcoming iPhone 16 series compared to 2023 figures. Apple has reduced its orders for semiconductor components from suppliers by as much as 15 per cent. 

"iPhone 15 series and new iPhone 16 series shipments will decline by 10–15% YoY in 1H24 and 2H24, respectively (compared to iPhone 14 series shipments in 1H23 and iPhone 15 series shipments in 2H23, respectively)," Kuo had written in a Medium post.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Price In India

The top-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra starts at Rs 1,29,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB configuration. The higher variants, with 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB storage options, are priced at Rs 1,39,999 and Rs 1,59,999, respectively. Colour options for the S24 Ultra are Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Black, with online purchasers having exclusive choices in Titanium Blue, Titanium Green, and Titanium Orange.

Samsung Galaxy S24+ Price In India

The mid-order Samsung Galaxy S24+, with a 12GB + 256GB configuration, is priced at Rs 99,999, while the 12GB + 512GB variant costs Rs 1,09,999. It is offered in Cobalt Violet and Onyx Black colourways. Online buyers can also access Sapphire Blue and Jade Green colour options.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Price In India

The vanilla Samsung Galaxy S24 is available in 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB storage models, priced at Rs 79,999 and Rs 89,999, respectively. It comes in Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, and Onyx Black colourways.
