Samsung Galaxy S24+ Launch: India May Get Snapdragon Variant. Know All Details

A new leak has emerged suggesting that India will receive the Snapdragon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S24+, citing retailers as sources.

Last year, South Korean tech giant Samsung opted for a notable shift in strategy by exclusively incorporating Qualcomm's top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips in the Galaxy S23 lineup, abandoning its typical approach of dividing markets between its Exynos chip and Qualcomm's latest SoCs. Contrary to initial rumours suggesting the Galaxy S24 would be the sole model featuring the Exynos chip worldwide, recent benchmarks indicate that the S24+ is poised to join it. However, a new leak has emerged suggesting that India will receive the Snapdragon variant of the S24+, citing retailers as sources.

It is to be noted that the phone hasn't appeared in any certifications in India so far. The company has officially announced that the Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone series will launch on January 17.

According to notable tipster Tarun Vats, India is set to get the Snapdragon variant of the S24+. "Exclusive ‼️ Snapdragon 8Gen3 is almost confirmed (99 percent) for Galaxy S24 Plus in India Share this awesome news with everyone," Vats posted on X, formerly Twitter.

According to the report, benchmark results for the Galaxy S24+ (SM-S926B) equipped with the Exynos 2400 SoC have emerged, showing scores closely rivalling those of the Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928B) running on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, after we previously witnessed benchmarks for the Galaxy S24 series with both Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors.

The Galaxy S24 and S24+ with 256GB storage are rumoured to maintain the same price as their 2023 counterparts, while the 512GB variants will incur an increased cost. The highest-tier Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to experience a price increase across all configurations, according to a leak in Korean (via Ppomppu).

Meanwhile, pre-reservations for the upcoming Galaxy S24 smartphone series have started in India.
