Redmi 12 Price Leaked Ahead Of India Launch On August 1

The price of the Redmi 12 has been leaked in India ahead of the slated launch on August 1.

The starting price of the Redmi 12 4G would be Rs 9,999 while the price of the 5G variant would start at Rs 13,999.

The price of the Redmi 12 has been leaked in India ahead of the slated launch on August 1. The handset maker recently confirmed the colour options of the Redmi 12 but did not mention if the Redmi 12 would be launched in two variants in the country. Now, a new tip has claimed that the Redmi 12 would be officially unveiled in both 4G and 5G variants in India. The starting price of the Redmi 12 4G would be Rs 9,999 while the price of the 5G variant would start at Rs 13,999. 

According to leakster Tipster Abhishek Yadav, the upcoming Redmi 12 series would include the Redmi 12 4G and the Redmi 12 5G models. Per the leakster, the expected pricing of the models would be starting price of Rs 9,999 for the 4GB/128GB model and there would be another 6GB/128GB model. The Redmi 12 5G model would also get two configurations: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB at a price starting at Rs 13,999.

The Redmi 12 is set to be officially unveiled in India on August 1 and its competitors would be the Samsung Galaxy F44 and the Poco M5 Pro, among others.

The phone was earlier launched in June in several regions globally. As per previous leaks and rumours, the handset would be launched in the affordable smartphone category which is not seeing a lot of launches these days. The Redmi 12 would go on sale on e-commerce platform Amazon.in and Flipkart. Another leak suggested that the phone would be launched in two colourways in India. The device has already been released in Thailand and a few other markets, globally.

The Redmi 12 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 chipset coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of eMMC 5.1 inbuilt storage. A 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired fast charging comes with the device. According to a new teaser, the colour variants of the upcoming smartphone in India have been released. The Redmi 12 would be launched in Jade Black and Pastel Blue colour options in India. There could be a triple rear camera setup and an 8MP selfie camera at the front.
