Foxconn Mulling To Assemble iPads In India

This string of meetings comes at a crucial time for Foxconn's Indian operations. The contract manufacturer, which already assembles iPhones in India, is considering expanding its product range to include iPad assembly at its Sriperumbudur facility in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, there have been reports that Foxconn might venture into manufacturing AI servers at its Indian plants.

These developments align with statements made last September by Foxconn's India representative, V Lee, who announced plans to double the company's investments and business operations in India within a year.

As Foxconn continues to explore opportunities in India, these high-level discussions could pave the way for significant expansions in the country's electronics manufacturing landscape.
