Apple iPhone 16 Expected Launch: What To Expect

The upcoming iPhone 16 series is expected to include four variants: the standard iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, as well as the more advanced iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

According to a report from Apple Insider, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to feature a camera system similar to that of the previous year's models. Rumours suggest that these new devices will include a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.6 aperture and 2x optical zoom. Additionally, the ultra-wide-angle lens is likely to receive a slight improvement, upgrading to an f/2.2 aperture from the f/2.4 aperture found on the iPhone 15. This change could enhance low-light performance by allowing more light to reach the camera sensor.

The iPhone 16 series may also introduce macro photography capabilities, which would be a first for Apple's standard iPhone models. There is speculation that Apple might alter the camera design, potentially opting for a vertical pill-shaped cutout similar to the one on the iPhone X, as opposed to the diagonal layout of the iPhone 15. This design adjustment could potentially support spatial video capture.
