Elon Vs Zuck Is Back: Musk Reignites Feud With Meta Chief With Yet Another Tweet

While the banter between Musk and Zuckerberg may seem lighthearted, the question remains whether they will indeed settle their differences through physical combat.

It appears that the world's most pointless faceoff still hasn't lost steam. Elon Musk has reignited his ongoing feud with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, expressing his readiness for a fisticuff in response to a social media post. The challenge surfaced after a user on platform X (formerly Twitter) shared a conversation with a tour guide who jokingly mentioned a potential fight between Musk and Zuckerberg.

According to the user, the tour guide entertained the idea of a showdown between the two tech moguls, expressing amusement at the prospect. Elon Musk promptly responded with eagerness, declaring his willingness to engage in a fight with Zuckerberg under any circumstances.

This latest exchange adds fuel to the fire of a rivalry that began in June 2023, when Musk criticised Meta's plans to enter the social media space. Musk's initial concerns were expressed through social media, where he questioned the potential monopolistic implications of Zuckerberg's venture.

The tension escalated when Musk jokingly suggested a cage match, prompting Zuckerberg to respond with a terse message indicating his readiness to participate. The subsequent exchange has fueled speculation online about the possibility of an actual physical confrontation between the two titans of the tech industry.

While the banter between Musk and Zuckerberg may seem lighthearted, the question remains whether they will indeed settle their differences through physical combat. As of now, it's uncertain if this feud will culminate in a showdown in the octagon.

Zuckerberg is not the only one Musk is going after. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is also on his radar, but not for a fight (as of yet).

Musk took legal action against OpenAI, the organisation behind the creation of ChatGPT, and its CEO. Musk, who was a co-founder of OpenAI alongside Altman, alleges that the company has strayed from its original nonprofit mission to prioritise profits over the advancement of artificial intelligence for the betterment of humanity.

The legal action comes on the heels of a blog post from OpenAI disputing Musk's claims and affirming its commitment to its founding principles. OpenAI contends that Musk had previously sought significant equity ownership, control over the initial board, and even the CEO position within the organisation, demands that conflicted with the company's values of shared governance and decentralised control.

In a move that underscores his unconventional approach to resolving the dispute, Musk took to his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), to propose an unusual solution. He expressed willingness to drop the lawsuit if OpenAI agrees to rebrand itself as "ClosedAI," suggesting that the company should be more transparent about its business objectives.
