‘Breakdown In TN’s Law And Order, DMK Govt Unconcerned’: BJP’s Annamalai On Tiruppur Killings
Tamil Nadu BJP chief has slammed the DMK government over the shocking killing of a family in the state's Tiruppur city, also citing the case of a BJP member killed.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP)'s Tamil Nadu unit president K Annamalai hit out at the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party on Monday over the shocking killing of a family in the state's Tiruppur city. A BJP functionary was hacked to death last month in Tirunelveli district and in the latest incident, the bodies of four members of a family were found in Kallakinar village of Tiruppur. Following these cases, Annamalai while talking to the media said, "Members of the Bharatiya Janata Party were murdered in Tirunelveli district last month. A BJP branch leader was hacked to death along with his family in Palladam of Tirupur district yesterday. Looking at all this, it is clear that there is a breakdown in law and order in Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu has become a centre for the culture of violence. Extortion and bribery have increased in the state The DMK government is unconcerned about all this."

Earlier in the day, Annamalai while talking about the death of the four members of a family in Tiruppur to the news agency ANI said, "It is painful and shocking that along Mohanraj, his younger brother, mother and aunt were brutally hacked to death. My condolences to the Mohanraj family."
While slamming the DMK government, the Tamil Nadu BJP chief said, "How many more civilians will have to die so that the liquor dealers of the DMK government can make money by opening liquor shops in every street and encouraging the sale of unregulated liquor?"
He also lashed out at Chief Minister MK Stalin over him projecting himself as the 'Number One CM' at a time when murders are allegedly taking place in the state every day.
Annamalai said, "When murders are happening in Tamil Nadu every day, law and order is in disarray, isn't the Chief Minister ashamed to advertise himself as the number one Chief Minister," as quoted by ANI.
