The MP police have decided to issue notice to the teen to seek his help for getting tipoffs about the accused.
Chennai: A 17-year-old computer programmer from Tamil Nadu who developed bots for accessing multiple email IDs, has now landed him in trouble after miscreants used it for sending bomb threats to schools in Bengaluru and Bhopal.
A Class 12 student developed the bots based on the request of a foreigner. He also received 200 Bitcoins as pay for developing the bots.
Recently, using the technology, a few miscreants used it to send hoax threats from multiple email IDs, said a report on NDTV.
However, the issue came to light after the police started to investigate the case where hoax bomb threats were sent to eight schools in Bengaluru in April and similarly another email was sent to 11 prominent schools in Bhopal in May.
