'Raj Bhavan Spreading Lies In Planned Manner': Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin On Petrol Bomb Case
Tamil Nadu CM said that the petrol bombs were hurled on the road outside the premises of the Raj Bhavan but it is being said that it was hurled inside the premises. He added that Raj Bhavan is "spreading lies".
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin accused the Raj Bhavan on Monday of 'spreading lies' on the petrol bomb case. Stalin said that the Motolov Cocktail was not hurled inside the Raj Bhavan rather it was thrown on the road which was outside the premises that is the residence of Governor R N Ravi. He alleged that the Governor has become a representative of the BJP and the Raj Bhavan has turned into an office of the saffron party, reported news agency PTI.
Stalin while answering a question said that police officials had days ago released CCTV footage to prove that the petrol bomb fell on the road. He said, "This lie (claiming that the Raj Bhavan was attacked using a petrol bomb) is being spread in a planned manner from the Raj Bhavan."
A 42-year-old man on October 25 hurled 'petrol bombs' at the gates of the Raj Bhavan, reported PTI. As per police, the bombs did not explode and landed outside the main gate near a barrier.
The Chief Minister was then questioned about the naming of the airport after Thevar to which he said that the matter has already been taken up with the Centre. He was then asked about the arrest of Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy, and he responded by saying that it is 'continuous'. While talking about the arrest of 37 fishermen by the island nation, he said that he immediately wrote to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. He further said that he has sent party MP T R Baalu, along with representatives of fishermen from Ramanathapuram to Delhi to visit the EAM.
When the reporters asked him about the row over Aryan-Dravidian ideologies, the Chief Minister said the 'Aryan' ideology segregated people and delineated their roles, however, everything for everyone is the Dravidian ideology. He added, "I urge our Governor to understand this difference, this truth," as reported by PTI.
His remarks on the Aryan-Dravidian ideologies came days after Governor Ravi denounced the Aryan-Dravidian racial theory again.
