OPS Meets PM Modi In Chennai Airport Amid Speculation Over Joining BJP
The visit of OPS comes a day after EPS met PM Modi at Chennai airport on Thursday.
Chennai: AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam met PM Narendra Modi while the latter was leaving Chennai at the airport on Friday. The visit of OPS comes a day after Edappadi K Palaniswami visited and greeted PM Modi as soon as he reached Chennai on Thursday.
After the meet, O Panneerselvam said, “PM Modi enquired about my health.”
On the court hearing related to AIADMK tussle, OPS said, “Truth will triumph.”
Earlier, EPS and OPS had sought time to meet PM in Chennai to discuss about the political issues in AIADMK.

Meanwhile, OPS erected huge hoardings with PM Modi and Amit Shah on Thursday.

The hoarding of OPS with Modi and Amit Shah while Modi’s visit to Chennai for inaugurating World Chess Championship led to speculation about his future course of action.
Sources in the OPS camp told IANS that he is seriously mulling an entry into the saffron party but wants to make sure that his son O.P. Raveendranath who is the lone Member of Parliament from AIADMK is properly accommodated.

On Thursday, the leaders who were recently given postings by OPS in the AIADMK, brought a huge floral garland to put on the statue of DMK leader and former Chief Minister, C.N. Annadurai.
While a major section close to OPS believes that he is mulling joining the BJP, another section believes that he is taking a last-minute gamble for re-entry to the AIADMK using the good offices of both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
