Miscreants Hurl Country Bomb At Chengalpattu District Court, 1 Dead

The police are investigating how the gang got access to the country-made bombs.

A man died after a five-member gang hurled a country bomb at a young man at Chengalpattu District Court on Thursday. The incident took place when the man was coming to the court for a hearing. Tense moments ensued after the incident and the police rushed the man to the hospital.

According to ANI, “A man, identified as Lokesh was critically injured after he was attacked with a country bomb and sickle by 5-6 people at Chengalpattu District Court. Investigation underway.”


According to a report, a group of people were coming to the court for a hearing on Thursday when a five-member gang started hurling country bombs at a juice shop. The smoke from the bomb immediately engulfed the place. Within a few minutes, the gang hacked the man to death. 

In the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that Lokesh (28) was a history-sheeter and he came to the court for a hearing of a case in which he was named. The police suspect that the murder was done as a tit-for-tat move.

The police beefed up the security at the spot.

Chengalpattu SP VV Sai Praneeth said, "Investigation is going on to nab the accused. He had appeared before the Court in the investigation of a case." 

The police are investigating how the gang got access to the country-made bombs.
