Uttarakhand CM Dhami Meets PM Modi, Seeks Help For Infrastructure, Hydro Projects In State
During the meeting, Dhami expressed confidence that under PM Modi’s leadership, the country will be successful in achieving new dimensions of overall development.
New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and congratulated him on assuming the office for the third time. During the meeting, Dhami expressed confidence that under PM Modi’s leadership, the country will be successful in achieving new dimensions of overall development and setting new records of success in the whole world.
On this occasion, the Uttarakhand CM presented a replica of Mahasu Temple to PM Modi. During the meeting, Dhami discussed various issues pertaining to Uttarakhand’s development. He highlighted that for the social and economic development of the state, hydroelectric projects are the main factor in the increase in the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

CM Dhami also requested the Prime Minister to re-review the final report of Expert Committee-2 constituted on the instructions of the Supreme Court pertaining to the 24 hydroelectric projects proposed in Alaknanda, Bhagirathi, and tributary rivers with the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Power.
During the meeting, CM Dhami requested that the PM make the transfer of forest land practical for compensatory tree plantation in the effective implementation of construction works. He also sought assistance of ₹ 1,000 crore for the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission.
Among the discussions on various issues, Dhami also requested the Prime Minister approve three tunnel projects proposed in Uttarakhand.
