Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami danced to tribal music at Tribal Pride Day event.
New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday, danced along with a dance troupe during an event organised by the State Tribal Research Institute (T.R.I), on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day in Dehra Dun.
In a video shared by ANI, Dhami was seen dancing along with the dance troupe to a tribal song on stage during the 'Adi Gaurav Mahotsav' event.

On his Twitter account, he shared pictures from the event with a tweet in Hindi saying, "Tribal culture and heritage is being preserved and promoted by our government by conducting various welfare schemes with the aim of increasing the prestige of tribal pride."

In 2021, the Centre declared November 15 as 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas' to commemorate the birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda and to honour tribal freedom fighters.
The Madhya Pradesh government on Monday implemented the Panchayats Extension to Scheduled Areas (PESA) Act, 1996 in the state, which aims to preserve the tribal population from exploitation with the active involvement of the Gram Sabhas, IANS reported.
The PESA Act also gives special powers to the Gram Sabhas in Scheduled Areas, especially for the management of natural resources.
The formal announcement was made by President Droupadi Murmu at a state-organised event.
Meanwhile, Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday tried her hand at drumming during a traditional event in the state’s Jhargram district.
