2 Killed, 3 Injured As SUV Collides With UP Roadways Bus In Muzaffarnagar
A Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus hit an SUV which killed 2 and injured 3.
Two persons were killed while three sustained injuries when their SUV was hit by an Uttar Pradesh roadways bus on the Ganga canal road in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, the police said on Monday, according to a PTI report.
The accident took place on Sunday night when the SUV was driving from Haridwar to Ghaziabad. The car was hit by an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus between Beldra and Nirgajni villages, which falls under the Bhopa police station. The bus driver fled the scene, leaving behind his vehicle, Station House Officer Vinod Kumar told the news agency PTI.
The deceased were identified as Ankur Tyagi, 28, and Monti, 25. The other three were injured in the accident and were shifted to the hospital, the SHO said, as per PTI. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, he said.

In February, five people were killed after a car collided with a bus on the Yamuna Expressway, near UP's Mathura. According to PTI, five people were burnt alive after the car caught fire. The incident took place near the 117th milestone on the Agra-Noida carriageway of the expressway under the Mahavan police station limits.
SSP Mathura Shailesh Pandey told the news agency that the collision was between a Swift Dzire and a bus, which lost control as a result of a burst tyre and turned on the road. Meanwhile, the car which was coming from behind hit the bus and both vehicles caught on fire.
"There was a collision between the bus and the Swift car. So far it has come to light that a tyre of the bus burst, it went out of control and turned on the road. The Swift car coming from behind hit the bus and both vehicles caught fire," Pandey was quoted as saying by PTI.
While the occupants of the bus managed to evacuate, those in the car could not and all five individuals were charred to death. Pandey said one of the deceased had been identified and efforts were on to contact his family.
