Suspended BSP MP Danish Ali To Join Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' In UP's Amroha

Suspended Bahujan Samaj Party MP Danish Ali will join Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from his parliamentary constituency of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.

Suspended Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Danish Ali is set to participate in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from his parliamentary constituency of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, as reported by PTI.

In a post on X, Ali said, "A hearty welcome to Rahul Gandhi who is undertaking the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in my parliamentary constituency Amroha on February 24. The people of Amroha have always stood with the unifying forces of the country and will leave no stone unturned to make your journey successful," he added.

It is to be noted that during seat-sharing discussions with the Samajwadi Party, the Congress had negotiated for Amroha and might field Ali from this constituency. Previously Ali had joined the 'Nyay Yatra' at its inception in Manipur, stating it would be a dereliction of his political duty if he did not participate in the "biggest drive for unity and justice".

According to the PTI, the yatra will recommence on the morning of February 24 from Moradabad, and from there it will traverse through Amroha, Sambhal, Aligarh, Hathras, and Agra districts before entering Dholpur in Rajasthan on Sunday.

The Congress had announced a break from February 26 to March 1 to allow Rahul Gandhi to fulfill his prior commitment to deliver two special lectures at Cambridge University in the UK on February 27 and February 28, as well as to attend other crucial meetings in New Delhi.

Thereafter, the yatra will recommence from Dholpur at 2 PM on March 2. Then It will pass through Morena, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Shajapur, and Ujjain, as well as other districts of Madhya Pradesh.

On March 5 at 2 PM, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. His last visit to the temple was on November 29, 2022, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
