A man from Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida area was arrested for allegedly raping a female dog and throwing her from the balcony of his house on third floor.

In a shocking incident, Uttar Pradesh police arrested a man from Greater Noida for allegedly raping a female dog and then throwing her from the balcony of the third floor. Officials told PTI that the 28-year-old man sexually abused the female on Wednesday and when a neighbor spotted him, he threw her to the ground from his third-floor house. He was arrested on Thursday.

The incident took in the Alpha 2 area and came to light when a neighbour spotted the accused and raised an alarm, the officials said, as quoted by PTI.

"The accused works in a private construction company. At the time of the incident, he was apparently under the influence of a toxic substance," he further told PTI.

Delhi Commission of Women chairperson Swati Maliwal reacted to the incident called the act "disgusting" and added, "Such people have crossed all limits of cheapness...What right these people have to call themselves humans."

According to PTI, police have also invoked under The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, and further legal proceedings in the case are underway.
