The Deputy CM visited the school to meet students and to inquire into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
The students, Anirudh (12), a Class 6 student, and Ganaditya (15), a Class 10 student, died on August 9 and July 26, respectively. Although the exact cause of death remains unclear, snakebite and food poisoning are suspected to be contributing factors.
On Tuesday, several school students, including Srija, Rishita, Sravya, Bhavya Shri, and Amita, fell ill while participating in competitions. They were immediately transported to Jagital Government Hospital by ambulance.
The school staff claimed that the students became ill during the sports competition. However, the parents alleged that their children were affected by food poisoning. Doctors attending to the students reported that their condition is stable.
During his visit, Deputy CM Vikramarka spoke with the students and consoled the grieving families of Anirudh and Ganaditya. He announced that both families would receive financial assistance from the government. Additionally, he inspected the school’s facilities and promised to provide beds and bedsheets for the residential students to improve their living conditions, according to a report on IANS.

He also enquired about the health of four other students who fell ill. They inquired whether regular medical check-ups were being conducted for the students and sought details about the overall facilities, staff, and the availability of a duty nurse at the school, as per the report.
They inquired with the acting principal whether monthly medical check-ups were being conducted for the students. He responded that the government has been vigilant after recent incidents where students in residential schools fell ill.
